I installed BlueFrog from this site when Blue Security was having its DoS, so I could not set-up my account, so I uninstalled Blue Frog, simple right……..not. Seems that the Blue Frog program set up there program on Yahoo, so ever time I go there the *#@ program asks me to install. Now I have used CCleaner, Easy Cleaner, and Hijack this, to remove all traces of Blue Security’s Blue Frog and any Yahoo traces see attached Hijack this log. I have E-mailed Yahoo as well as Blue Security still no response. So I think is time to call on the Super Geeks team.

PS if you find anything in the Hijack This file that I should change let me know

UPDATE: Turns out the little Blue Frog is as tenacious as an installer as it appears to be Spam fighter. When I type [about:config] in my address bar in Firefox (Thanks to Kniht in thread http://forums.majorgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=91156) the following string appears in the config file here is the Blue Frog part see attacment:

Blue Frog’s Support Team says that it should show up in the extension files………NOT
But you have to remember that when I downloaded the program Blue Security was suffering its DDoS attack so Blue Frog could not fully install due the fact that I could not contact them. I used Blue Frogs Uninstaller and it removed itself from IE (which I rarely use) but left its web print in Firefox, as well as some spurious stuff in my registry (no problem CCleaner got rid of that.

PROBLEM: How the heck do I get the above out of my Firefox config file.

PS Thanks to Bigbazza (one of the DownUnder Wonders) I am using Mailwasher from MG http://www.majorgeeks.com/MailWasher_d2054.html not as aggressive I realize, but Dang it is one sweet little program, and achieves the same results. Hey turned the Big 58 today so I am allowed one long boring post right!!!

Thanks Baza for the belated birthday wish's, just wish I could get rid of this Nasty little frog in my computer swamp............

I have gone to Blue Security three times for advice on how to get their Blue Frog program out of my Firefox Config Profile, so far no help. Their last advice was to:
In order to delete these files from the config files, please follow these steps :Go to C:\Documents and Settings\YourUser\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\defaultProfile\prefs.js Open the prefs.js file with a text editor, mark all lines which contain this :user_pref("bluemonkey... Delete these lines and save the file. Restart Firefox and these files will not appear any more.

I have edited this *&# file so many different ways my fingers are raw….. tried it in “Safe Mod’, with Firefox disabled, and in regular windows mod all to no avail, the dang Blue Frog comes up ever time I go to reopen Firefox……………….HELP. How can I delete the Firefox “Config” file

PS just found this on Firefox Discussion Line http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?p=2254482

Makes you wonder about BlueFrog………Seems like their moniker “bluemonkey” is appropriate………..As I still have not gotten rid of the critter by any name

MY ADVISE IS USE “MAILWASHER” here at MG at http://www.majorgeeks.com/MailWasher_d2054.html

I'm having second thoughts about Blue Frog. I've part installed to the point where I have to logon to their site to continue. Think I'll hang off for a while longer. Bazza
