Hello, I have Windows 7, Windows Live Mail, and IE8.

I searched Google to find Malwarebytes Anti Malware and I downloaded it from Cnet. I tried twice but didn't see the icon so that I could install it, etc. I looked in my Desktop, Programs, etc. but didn't see it. After I clicked on "Save" a little window appeared from Bam or MBam? having no button for OK or whatever. Am I doing something wrong maybe?

Hope to hear from someone so I can scan my computer to see if it's spies that are causing some strange things in my (not good at all) Windows Live Mail.

Thanks ever so much! :) Adela

P.S. Off topic: Anyone knowledgeable about WLM so i could post my problem in the correct forum? Their forum is awful!

Try downloading it again, but this time, take a second and make sure you know where it's being downloaded to. The desktop is a good place to DL it to for testing purposes.

A good search tool comes in handy quite often.

Everything search engine is really amazing.
You won't believe how fast this is.
Just start typing in the search field and watch the magic.

    Hi

Indeed download it again and download it from HERE as Majorgeeks is an authorised download partner of Malwarebytes as both Majorgeeks and Malwarebytes owners have known each other for many years.

When you click one of the download locations you will see the option to RUN, SAVE and Cancel, choose Save and then as suggested you can pick the desktop to save the file too, but Windows 7's general location for downloaded files is C:\Users\yourusername\Downloads

Also Windows 7's search is much better than its given credit for and just click the Start button and in the Start Search type the name of any file, MBAM is called mbam-setup.exe

For your WLM issue just start a new thread in the software forum here at Majorgeeks as many members here use WLM including myself so we may be able to help, just rememver to post the same info as you did here in this thread as per Windows version and WLM version and your issue in as much detail as possible.

Thank you so much David for the many good suggestions! I did download from MajorGeeks and then searched MBAM-setup.exe just as you suggested...and lo and behold I found several of them under “Downloads” lol! which I never knew where they were or how to get to (as well as my other downloads!)
However, when I tried to save downloads to the desktop I never saw an option for where to save as I see they ask when installing a program. BTW...is there a little button to take me to the desktop as I had with WinXP/OE, because now to go there I have to close the computer...

Thanks also for directing me to MajorGeeks’ software forum for my WLM problems! :)

Thank you very much again for all your help! Adela
