have to keep going in and out of folders to see

yikes i dunno how to explain this.

on win xp if i have to say make a new folder i can but then i have to go in and out of that place in order to see it. The same if i paste or download something into a folder i have to go back first and then to the folder in order to see it.
can anyone help me change this - its taking me ages to do stuff as i have to keep going back and forth

Hmmmm, refreshing is not occuring automatically. Hit F5 to refresh.
