havin trouble with my installer

    hey guys...im new to ur site, and just to say it rocks, GJ, but to the point i have a game called starseige u may have heard of it its quite old almost 8 yrs old i think...ive asked for help on this but i keep gettin moronic comments that even i as an illiterate computer noob could have guessed.. anyway i uninstalled my game SS and went to go reinstall it again and i got this error..and its a doozie

    16 bit windows subsytem
    C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXE.NT. The system file is not suitable for running ms-dos and microsoft windows application

    im stuned...ive been runnin this game for 2 yrs now on my xp and the guys from epirate.net are telling me its just old of a game to run on xp but everyone i play with pretty much runs it on xp..any ideas of a fix? plz..i love this game.......thnx guys, again great site

    Try to install and play the game in compatibility mode.

    Right click the games install executable, select properties, compatibility, and select the operating system most appropriate. That way it should hopefully give you a much more accurate install.

    If it installs, go to the games folder, and right click the games executable and do the same thing.
