I have 2 drive bays on my Dell XPS Pro. Drive D is my Sony DRU-180A that burns to both + & - disks. Drive E is a burner that only handles DVD +RW & CD-R so I'd like to replace it with a second Sony DRU-180A burner. Can this be done with no probles with burn issues?

Yup. Having 2 identical burners should not be an issue. I have worked on plenty of PCs with 2 burners and never had nay problems.
    :-D
