When I try to repair it from the add/remove section it says it can not do it and that I need to reinstall ie6. When I do try to reinstall ie6; in the configuring part I keep getting this:

An error has occurred while setting up "C:\windows\system\shodocvw.dll". This error has been logged. The installation will continue.

This happens everytime I run the ie6setup file. Any suggestions as to what I need to do to have a clean installation of ie6?
Thank you for any type of help with this.

I have updated everything from microsoft as of this point in time.
If you need additional info please ask.

Errr... so if the installation continues what is the actual problem (apart from an annoying message)?

because there are some things that will not download due to the fact they say i need ie6---so i am assuming that this is related to the error message i am getting from not doing a CLEAN load of ie6.

Ok next question then: Is this an update to an earlier version of IE or the full version of IE6 you are trying to install?

If it is an upgrade version then try the full version. If it is the full version then I'll have to have another think!
