Okay here is the deal, earlier today *It's like 1:06am thursday morning* so yeah earlier today about 5pm I was messing around on my computer and I turned it off and went to my buddy's for abit. Came back about an hour ago and my computer isn't starting up (I'm on my moms laptop). Well it will start up, like I turn it on, enter my password and such and right when the internet connects, my computer shuts off and restarts. I'm thinking I might have a virus but I'm not entirely sure. I need some help on this

What do you mean by messing around? Did you download and install any new programs, add any new hardware, or visit any suspect websites?

Do you get any error messages before your system re-boots?

By messing around I mean doing the usual. Talking to people and listening to music. I did nothing different from what I usually do. I don't download programs or install. I visit the same websites I usually do, this one, myspace, lyricsdownload and such. Never had any problems before

    What about the error messages.....any?

Just to be sure run this online scan if you can access the WAN in safe mode!

I can't get far enough on my computer to do anything. Once the internet automatically connects it shuts off and restarts the whole computer

Does it only shut down when accessing the internet? If so, try a different browser as yours may be corrupt. Try Firefox, PhaseOut, Opera, etc. If it shuts down regardless of what you're doing, it could be any number of things from overheating to corrupt files to faulty hardware. Post more details please like your Windows version, and the like...........

Right click my computer / advanced / start up and recovery / uncheck the restart on errors ......next time it crashes you should get a Blue Screen Of Death (BSOD) ...give us the full error code.
