having FLASH problems

    im currently using IE8 and i everytime i come to a website that uses flash i get a notice that says i must install the latest FLASH, i currently have FLASH 10 installed, why am i getting these messages? can anyone help? thanks

    just to give you guys and an update as well as an answer, i have used the ADOBE's uninstall program which is free, then downloaded and installed a fresh copy of the latest FLASH from ADOBE and now everything is running fine, thanks for the reply, i should have tried that before asking to begin with, but if anyone else has this problem they should do what i did.

    I used the uninstall from adobe, restart, install adobe, it still will not work?????
    I am using an msi wind notebook.
