    Alright guys,
I looked around and couldnt find much on this specific topic. I have this machine from a friend and he couldnt get win. 7 to reinstall. I have the disk but when I goto boot off of it, it says win.7 installation was canceled, sutff is damaged need to reboot... Im trying to boot from the win.7 disk and it isnt not letting me for some odd reason. Is there a way to maybe access a partition ( like maybe it has a restore or something? ) or what about running a disk wipe or something ( again, maybe making a boot CD to wipe on reboot ) that I can run to wipe the HD partitions?

    Thanks

There are many partitioning programs available, but you should be able to format and reinstall Windows by booting to the Win 7 disk.

    1. Press any key when prompted, and then follow the instructions that appear.
    2. On the Install Windows page, enter your language and other preferences, and then click Next.
    3. On the Please read the license terms page, if you accept the license terms, click I accept the license terms, and then click Next.
    4. On the Which type of installation do you want? page, click Custom.
    5. On the Where do you want to install Windows? page, click Drive options (advanced).
    6. Click the partition that you want to change, click the formatting option you want to perform, and then follow the instructions.
    7. When you've finished formatting, click Next.
    8. Follow the instructions to finish installing Windows 7, which include naming your computer and setting up an initial user account.

Strange - I was worried that the Win 7 disk might be damaged.
    Glad you got it.
