    Hi Rath123,

I'm cutting out for the evening & won't get a chance to really look at your log until tomorrow night. A quick glance tells me that you've got a lot of crap to deal with.

It is always a good idea to start with the Cleanup Tutorial HERE:
READ ME FIRST BEFORE ASKING FOR SUPPORT: Basic Spyware, Trojan and Virus Removal

Please note the steps that you are able to complete and the ones that give you problems. Note that you need to be in Safe Mode with System Restore OFF and have the Viewing of Hidden Files ENABLED as per the instructions in the link. Make sure to do the Online Scans.

If you want to go ahead and try to fix the baddie that is messing with your game, take a look at the similar problems in this Thread:

    READ ME: Virtumundo Problems/Resolution Threads

If nobody else offers to help you, I'll try to take a look when I find the time to check back tomorrow. :)

    Best luck,
    PP

Man, this baddie must be hitting the SWG community pretty hard! Attach a fresh HJT log & I'll take a look Monday evening if I get some time.

Note that, before you scan, you MUST close all running programs including your web browser, e-mail and items in the system tray.

I'm confused. The two logs you posted look to be from two different machines. The first log has a whole mess of crap in it while the second one is pretty clean.

For the 2nd log, I recommend Uninstalling Wild Tangent, Viewpoint, and WeatherBug. Also, have HJT fix this entry:

    O2 - BHO: (no name) - {FDD3B846-8D59-4ffb-8758-209B6AD74ACC} - (no file)

For the first log, I need to see a fresh one after the Tutorial has been completed before I can be of any help there.

    Best :)

Please take a look at the two logs and make sure that a mistake has not been made. The 1st log has a lot of problems including StopGuard/Virtumundo.

The second was clean other than the few items I posted.

Is there more than one user account on the machine?

My free time is limited and I don't want to dive into this without knowing what the deal is.

I took a look at the 2 logs..now Im confused as well. I see diffrences between the 2. Dont know why. I dont think I did anything diffrent from the 2 times Ive saved the logs.

Only 1 account on this PC.

Go ahead and attach a fresh log from your machine & I'll take a look when I get a chance :) However it came to be, those logs are likely from different computers.

    No problem :)

Looking at your log, nothing jumps out at me other than the Wild Tangent which kinda begs for trouble.

[SiS KHooker] C:\WINDOWS\System32\khooker.exe ---> This has been known to cause problems on startup, but it is legitimate.

[CleanupProgram] C:\Sonysys\cleanup.exe --> I do not know what this is.

You could have HJT fix this, but it is just a very minor issue: O9 - Extra button: WeatherBug - {AF6CABAB-61F9-4f12-A198-B7D41EF1CB52} - C:\Program Files\AWS\WeatherBug\Weather.exe (file missing) (HKCU)

You might try running through the Cleanup Tutorial again for good measure, but I do not see anything in this log that is particularly evil.

    Best,
    PP
