Having problems with Windows update.

    Has anyone else had probs with a recent Windows update on XP pro? It says it's updating the MRT but once it starts installing it soon locks the whole system up. Does anyone have any advice or information regarding this or maybe know what I shoul do to remedy the problem. Have currently got WU switched off to prevent it trying to install again. Thanks. :)

    What update is it?

    MRT is a driver for quicken.

    MFT is part of the NTFS filesystem.
