Im using Windows XP Professional, I have only 1 account, and it has a password, however when I turn my PC on it automatically logs me in. I think it might be because I upgraded from windows 98. Anybody know what I should do.

Go to control pannel, User Accounts, click on "Change the way user log on or off" then uncheck the box "Use the Welcome Screen"

Last thought it's best not to upgrade to XP, but too do fresh install.

Another last thought, with XP or W2K OS it's generally best to use NTFS file system, windows 98 doesnt support NTFS only F16 or Fat32.
But, you can Convert in XP or 2K.

Look to the right. See AutoAdminLogon?

Is it set to a 1?

Back the key up and set it to a 0.
