Ever since yesterday i've had to restart my pc to use internet (otherwise it would just sit there and try to access the internet but come up with nothing):cry,
I have a duo boot system (two hdd's with xp on one drive & vista on the other);).

    Did you install something yesterday?...
And you can't access with either OS?

I'm not sure I really understand the nature of what's going on.... when you try to access the internet, your browser opens and just sits there; no errors, no web pages, nothing. But if you restart the PC, and boot back in to the same OS, and then open the browser, you can then surf the web as usual? Is that right? Obviously, something happened yesterday that caused the issue... how about a system restore to the day before yesterday?

Can you try disabling and then re-enabling your network adapter?

I did something better then that ealry this morning i downloaded the latest chipset drivers for my motherboard (my mobo is an asus p5ne-sli), nforce 650i windows xp drivers but that didn't help.
I did download smart defrag today and i'm going to see if that helps (i used deep opimization)

So far it seems smart defrag did the trick (so far no troubles).
