Having trouble installing printer

Please Help!!!

I have got myself an Epson C42 Plus printer second hand which did not come with a disk to install the driver etc.

I can find the drivers I need on the web for for some reason it is not installing.

Can anyone help?

My PC uses Windows 2000.

No joy with that.

The site D/Ls the folder etc but when I follwo the installation process due to the Hotfix that I have it does not see the .inf file it needs to complete the manual set up.

What am I doing wrong???

 

Download the file to your desktop.

Double-click epson10386.exe

Click Ok

Click Unzip

File unzips to C:\epson\epson10386

The setup automatically executes and installs the printer driver on your computer.

 

Grrrr.

A window comes up with C:\WINNT\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT. The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications.
Choose 'Close' to terminate the application.

Does this with the epson10385.exe D/L also.
