Having trouble with upgrading to XP

Hi all!
I'm having a little problem. I try to upgrade from Windows 98 to Xp pro with service pack 2. When the install is complete and when it has been rebooted, the computer just hangs at the screen where you can see Xp is loading up. Short after that, the whole computer starts over and the same thing happens again. I really dont have any thoughts of why. does someone have a clue?

Well as u described the problem that seems to be the problem with ur windows xp sp2. As xp sp2 have known to be problem with intel processors.

U will have to download the KB article - KB885626 for this .

i too had this problem when i just integrate my xp with sp2, but seems to be solved using this article.
