Has anyone used this program and what do they think of it? I am just curious i do not want to screw up my machine. I can see it has a Register Cleaner and other things.

Cleans files from your hard drive you dont need. Useful for reclaiming space.

What in particular does it 'clean'? I mean is it primarily the same as the 'Disk Cleanup' windows includes? How much space could it actually free up? What does it scan for to remove?

i'd suggest ccleaner and jv16 old version and/or regseeker. ihad issues inpast w/HD being too aggressive. jv16 freeware is still on the net. gl

I haven't used HD Cleaner, but the best cleaning utility I have ever used is V-Com (Ontrack) SystemSuite.

Unfortunately, you can only buy it and no trial version is available, but it removes more than any other program I've used, and has some great extra features.

Highly recommended.
