Hey guys, so about a week ago my computer was having some problems which i assumed was a virus I ended up running some scans and cleaned up about 10 viruses but, it still ran slow. After not being able to take it anymore I reinstalled windows 7. When i finished everything the computer was extremely slow to boot up like before but, eventually booted after about 20 minutes. This is the third day this has been happening now and its really starting to get on my nerves as now it also starts to happened when i download things. I cant quite figure it out? It runs okay for a couple hours but usually starts slowing down when I pay less attention to it. My computer also slows down to almost a halt out of the blue a couple times.

    Any input is great!

How did you reformat did you do a quick or full format if you did a quick format then you might still have virus's on your computer.

If you have not read this please do.

Im not to sure on the difference between a quick and full reformat but, im pretty sure i did a full reformat as there isn't anything left on my computer that was on the old version thing. I transport my computer back and forth between two houses aswell and a week back my mom dropped it but it seemed to be fine until two days after really. Think that could have anything to do with it?

What do you mean? What i did was went to system recovery then from there i just followed the steps and it asked me if i wanted to restore my OS or something and i said yes. After all the steps it booted and said preparing for first time use so i assumed i did it right. Especially seeing theirs no remainders of my other accounts on this OS

You might still have malware (like a rootkit).
Follow Goldenskull's links and let the malware fighters here look over your logs.
If they say you are clean, come back to this thread or start a new one and we'll troubleshoot the hardware or software.

The Difference between a quick and a full format is.

A quick format is almost the complete opposite of a full format (it’s almost because it has to do something to even be called a quick format). Instead of treating your hard drive to a nice manicure, pedicure, and what else, a quick format will only delete the journalling part of the filesystem

A Full format will completely Wipe every thing of the Main HD.

I think this option is only given in Xp not sure about windows 7 i have not seen the option to wipe the HD in windows 7.
