HDD Speed

    If my laptop has a 5400rpm drive in it, will it take a 7200rpm?

    This shouldn't be a problem if the hard drive has the same height and connection as the old one ( SATA/IDE ). :)

    I agree with Novice. Hard drive rotation speed should not matter to the computer.

    If the drive is the same size and interface, as stated above it will work. May reduce your battery time a bit, but you should get much faster drive access.
