    Is there any way to delete a whole 18GB HDD manualy (No computer access)?
    If not, how would i get a virus out of the HDD without having a computer infected(my new comp)?

    Just put 18 gb in new rig/ remove or just disconnect other hdd, then Fdisk the 18gb hdd.
    what brand hdd is the 18gb? if its Maxtor you can use MaxBlast 3 to whipe and reformat.

    Why do i have to remove the old HDD?
    I was hoping to add that 18GB on what i already have.

    you dont, what ASUS said was disconnect your already installed HD ( just pull the power connector out ) to save the virus from infecting your already installed HD... hookup the 18GB and use a bookdisk to fdisk to delete thr partition data and format the drive or as ASUS suggested use the HD manufacturers drive utilitys to wipe the drive ( most HD companys have low level format utils for free plus )

    Ok, the HDD is out.
    How do i find out what kind it is? :|
    At some point on the sticker it says: Product of Singapore
    It has the S/N number, MDL number, Date, and DID.
    Il do a google search.
