This isn't really a PC question.... I was looking through the Sunday paper and found the ever-present BestBuy pamphlet. I see that most of the LCD/Plasma TVs have several HDMI ports. Why? Why would a TV need more than one HDMI port? Why would it need FOUR of these HDMI ports?

Because now a lot of other devices (Xbox, Wii, Playstation, Blu-Ray players, cable boxes, computer video cards) have HDMI output so you can hook up 4 devices and switch between inputs just like you can if a TV has S-video and composite inputs. As HDMI also carries audio it's much neater to have 1 cable from each device than say 3 composite (Yellow-video, Red & White audio) wires from each device.

Duh. Of course you'd need several inputs, one for each device. Jeeeeez, I feel like a stooge asking such a noobie question.... I guess I just wasn't thinking.... thanks guys!
