HDMI sound issue

    I have a Jetway mini-top pc (HBJC600C99-52W-BW - bought from Newegg.com if you want to see what I'm dealing with) with Ubuntu 10.10 that is hooked up to my home theater. I don't have sound through the HDMI interface. It shows the HDMI option in Sound Preferences & nothing is muted. The receiver is tuned to the correct HDMI port & I get good video. What am I missing?
