    Hello there fellow Geeks,

So i have a Toshiba L755D-S5106 Satellite laptop and all of the sudden my headphone/earbuds stopped working. I plug the jack in and i get nothing. I Googled some remedies of which many listed did not work. I tried rolling back drivers, uninstalling then reinstalling driver software. I don't even see an icon in the sound properties menu, just speakers, no headphone option. I'm at a loss as what may be causing the problem? Perhaps some of the experts on this forum can provide some insight and guidance for a possible solution.
I have sound coming out my normal laptop speakers but no headphone functionality. I tried several pairs of headphones to rule them out as the culprit.

Thanks for your time, it's greatly appreciated.

I'm running Windows 10 Home (x64) Version 1803 (build 17134.228) and the sound devices on my laptop are AMD High Definition Audio Device and Conexant SmartAudio HD.

    Thanks,

    Here in Philly

I've had this happen once on an old desktop except it was with the speakers themself not headphones and I ran a System Restore on it and it fixed the problem. I'm not saying that will definitely help you but that worked for me.
