Heat problem? Software ?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------I posted this in the wrong place yesterday, this mornng computer shut down b4 it got hot? It also will get "stuck" shutting down and I'll have to hold down the on/off button to get it to completely shut off < that was in 100+ temps. Any idea whats going on?

Just updated my Smart Defrag, thank you Geeks, saw: Advanced SystemCare Free (formerly Advanced WindowsCare Personal) and I am going to give it a try. Looks like you recomend it! I'll be back if it dosn't help. I've been having some problems (heat related I think because they are problems in the mid day heat, 100 to 105'F in here, morning and evening seem to be fine) Just shut it down during midday heat?

Ya, if your ambient is already 100F in the PM then don't use it. Do clean as much inside as you can, dust bunnies or crud on the CPU fan etc. Also, make sure all fans are working and/or add another one if there's space for it. CPU-Z is probably overkill for you but it has a good CPU monitor for temps.

 

Thanks! I'll check the fans and dust... poor thing would rather be in an air conditioned office than a dusty ole ranch!
That Advanced system care was not much help for me I don't know what I need or don't need ((except fot cookies and duplicate stuff) and it appeared if you really wanted to remove stuff you had to get the "advanced" (paid for?) version?
Over 100.... better get off!
