    Hello,
I am having a problem with my computer freezing when running anti-virus software or burning cd's. This ONLY happens after the computer has been on for a couple hours, so I'm assuming it's a heat problem. I'm running an Athlon 1800 (have been told many times they run super hot), but the fan is running fine. I have the system set to turn off hard drives, monitor, and stand-by after 1 hour. Should I enable hibernation? running Win XP home. Any ideas, besides the obvious (more powerful fan)?
    Thanks in advance,
    Al

What would be the purpose of enabling hibernation? Hibernation powers off your computer.

Do you have any kind of temperature readings?

I had asked about hibernation because I wasn't sure what it did.......

There was a post on here awhile back about a link to download temperature readings, but I can't seem to find it now. Does anyone know where I could get a program like that?
    Thanks,
    Al
