    I Was Trying To recover My Hard Drive With The Software Provided By Compaq On My Laptop Wen It Reached 3% It Stalled.....It Evenully Restarted But Now It Won't Boot Up Windows Because hal.dll Is Missing Or Corupted.....Plz Someone Help I Have Inmportant Pics I Don't Want To Lose

    Hal.dll Missing Or Corrupt

    I Have A Compaq Presario Notebook Model C300.....It Was running Slow And Weird So i Used the Recovery Software That Came W/ The Laptop When It Was Recovering @ 3% It Froze After A While It Restarted But When It Got Past The CompaqScreen Gave Me The Error Root Windows//system32/hal.dll missing or corupt I Copied The File Onto A Disk From Another Laptop But I Can't Seem To Find The Way To Paste It Into That Folder.....I Don't Have The Windows Cd To Use It As A Boot So I Would Like Someone To Help Thank You
