Hello, a question

Hi.
Im redirected here from the welcome forum, so here is my question.
Im looking for a freeware program to rip dvd's into avi files, to backup my collection.
As im not a lot computer-savvy (id say A LOT), im looking for a simple program, just to make avis directly with nothing more than a couple of buttons to push! To a format that most reproducers can read, not only in the pc (i already have vlc but id want to view it in my tv, not only in the pc).
