Hello all..

Hello, I just found your site today because I needed help on my computer and I need to ask a few questions and don't know where to start so I'm trying here, if i was supposed to put this elsewhere then I'm sorry but I'm in a bit of a bind. My computer is an HP Pavilion Slimline running on vista. My younger brother had gotten on my computer while I was out and looked up some porn, I'm not going to get into the whole story but I'm trying to do him a favor by not telling our parents, so I can't go to them for help. I'm currently typing this on my old Systemax Win 98, because he got a virus on my Vista.

The problem is mostly my fault now, after I found out about it I asked an online friend for help and he suggested "hijack this" so i looked that up and got sent to your site, now i did not download hijack this, but i did look up the malware and spyware cleaning thing and i did that, and it worked so i didn't post any logs or do anything with it. Afterwards i deleted what i downloaded here, In case our parents saw it so they wouldn't get suspicious or anything... well, then it started messing up and now it wont even get online so i switched computers to beg for help.

I scanned my computer with a free trial antivirus and it said that nothing was wrong, but it wont get online and its very slow, so i think in the process of deleting the viruses i deleted something important. Please help!!!

When you do the malware thing as halo said keep in mind that there are only a few fighters working here voluntarily on their on time as well as trying to run their own private lives to boot.
It goes older post first and try not to bump as it will only delay them getting to you even more.
Good luck and I would suggest you put a password protect on as so not to let anyone on while you are away And while you're here take a look at what MG has to offer in security that may help you in the future.
