    Just joined and got a question
    Can you connect a satellite reciever(dierctv) to a computer monitor? I wanna see my programming on my comp monitor

    This question would be better in the hardware forum, but the quick answer is no, not without a computer between them to convert the 2 incompatible standards.

    There are some exceptions in monitors, but I didn't want to muddy the waters too much. Does this monitor have a composite in, or RGB? The overwhelming majority don't.

    Having said all that, Welcome aboard!

    You could restart this thread in the hardware forum to explore the options.

    Thanks and I dont really think my monitor meets those requirements, its a factory dell monitor so yeah
