Hello! I just found this site and it looks great.

I wanted to say hello and beg for help, hopefully this can get posted in the right section.

I have an emachines T3085 and it is almost completely dead after loading a security program from the local cable/DSL company. That's not really the problem, because I've had similar problems before and I restored the system and comp worked fine. I accidentally broke disk 1 on the T3085 ver 1.1 restore disks, so it no longer works. I online chatted with emachines support and they claim they don't carry the T3085 restore disks, and when I searched online the only place I found that had them was sold out.

    Thanks for you help

    Welcome to MajorGeeks Raunch!:major

Sorry to hear of your problems with eMachines tech support.

Sadly what you are asking of our members is illegal. I'm sure that was not your intent but all the same, we can't allow transactions such as this to go on here as we could be held liable.

If you still can't get any results with eMachine tech support you will need to purchase an operating system disc and do an install that way.

    Good Luck!!!:)

Thanks for the replies. Thanks Stubby, but although that site lists the T3085, they are sold out. If anyone knows where I could purchase a disc it would be very helpful.

Hi again!! We really need to stop meeting like this!!:-D Anyhow, I looked up the specs for both the 3065 and the 3085 and the differences are so subtle I was wondering if the 3065 disks would work for the 3085? They are almost identical! Below are the links to the 3065 specs and the 3085 specs. All you need to do is print them out and compare them for yourself. I don't know if that would work but, again, we'll need someone with more expertise than myself for that answer. However, it could be a starting place since no one seems to have the disks for the 3085. Here's the 3065 http://www.shopping.com/xPF-Usa-Flex-T3065 And here are the specs for the 3085 http://www.shopping.com/xPF-Total-Peripherals-T3085
