Hello and Some one Please Help

I have Klite mega codec when playing mpeg down loads on media player it only plays 1:58 min of a 28min file Why? and how can I correct this?

 

It's been days can some one PLEASE!!! give me even a hint on what's wrong and how to fix my promblem. It's driving me bat poop! It's only on the MPEG's the AVI,MPEG1,MPEG4 and others are fine.

 

My system is vista!
The player is meida player classic and windows media player, it dose it on both!
It happens on all MPEG, it dose not say 1'2'3'or4!
If it says MPEG 2 or 4 it plays like it should' and AVI plays also.

 

I followed your inst. step by step, it did not work! Window media player only played 1:57 of the video and stoped. The grafics are worse then before and was jumping and slow to load on all video's. I had K-Lite Mega Codec 4.0.0 before. I still want to correct this problom. Should I uninstall vista and reinstall K-Lite?

 

It may be I just thought it had to do with me being computer dumd. Witch relly am that's why I'm on here asking someone with computer brains for help. If it's a bad file from a bad down load than ok! Should I go back to K-Lite? I don't know witch Codec pack is best!

 

What if I converted it to an AVI file? Or refromat it, would that work?
