hello everyone i need help :(

    my friend from japan gave me a computer tonight and all the text is in japanese i am trying to figure out how to switch it back to english but i cant seem to do so. can anyone help? it is o/s windows me. :cry

    There may be an icon in the system tray that will toggle between Japanese and Enlish(american) ....if he has set up the regional and languge setup.

    ..or not. Often the entire OS is in the installed language. In that case a format and clean install is required.

    i agree, if the windows uses japanese language as a default, then a clean reinstalation only can help.
