I am David Roper in SC. Retired Freeware Author from way back in the 1990's with DRMENU301.zip. Started with DOS 1.1 At 75 years old, I just play on my WIN10 Laptop trying out interesting new ideas in software of others. I need an idiot proof Video Grabber - adjust the frame area - push GO button - Push Stop button type. Makes AVI or MP4 etc. Preferably Open Source, but Freeware OK. All I have left anymore is opinions and ideas.

Thanks, not quite what I am looking for. I had one which was an SOS give away item. You had the video running like You tube video, you ran "it" and sized the frame around it, then restarted video and quickly pushed red RECORD button, pushed it again and it stopped recording and saved video to desktop or wherever you had settings to use. Still looking. Open Source would be great.

This is new or new to me but I like it. https://github.com/MathewSachin/Captura/releases - They have a portable version too. I don't know if it captures *everything* like video games or some video, but doesn't hurt to try. This site is good to find alternatives.
