Hello guys, girls, and kodo

Ok I want to buy a new game today....So I need some input....What should I buy.

A FPS? MMORPG? Racing? so many choices!!!!

Ok I play Counter-Strike and Team Fortress Classic right now exclusivly.....

Two titles I am considering is Battlefield 1942 and HALO what do you guys think?

dowload the 1.5 patch, and then download DC 0.6. ahhh...good times

yeah, was playing DC0.6 and I like it.. lots of fun. Only got to play for like an hour total over the weekend, but it was fun just the same!

 

Ok well BF1942 it is then!.....ok ace and kodo please send me the ip's of the servers that you play at regularly as well as your names you use on there ...AND any tips? tricks? is hacking bad on there? I hate cheaters......

@kodo I was not sure which gender to put you in with all of the operationsyou told me not to tell anybody about :-D

 

I just thought about it......what greater joy could life offer than to place a well aimed sniper shot between kodo's eyes (In the game) j/k LOL

 

ummm...i have dial-up, so i very rarely play online. when i do, i play as acejones, and i just jump in on a server with an open spot. i know there are wall hacks and other cheating mechanisms, but when i have been online, i personally haven't seen anything.

I play as Kodo, no matter what game I'm in. I don't have any regular servers I play on...what ever has the best ping and map that I want to play.. I used to play on the irongaming server but I can't any more. Neither I nor they know why.

I haven't encountered any cheaters that I know of..but there are nade spammers every so often. Probably the only few games that I've played that have the least amount of jerks are Tribes 2, Planetside and BF1942.

 

Well i will be playing tonight care to hook up either on AIM or ICQ or whatever you got and hit a few servers...?........Also!!! do they have voice communicaiton? AND if not we MG'rs need to set up teamspeak or ventrillo !! So we can communicate while on line and play the same servers and stuff.

 

I don't use messengers any more. They annoy me. I usually play around 11:30 pm EST if I'm not passed by then. Don't normally have much time before that for games.

 

Nice choice going with BF1942, You'll have lots of fun owning Kodo in Desert Combat
Swatshark and I use a program called Skype
You can only have 2 people on it at a time, but the quality is much better than teamspeak or ventrillo.

 

Ok just bought bf1942 Deluxe edition from gamespot....SO i will install at around 5:30 and then Im gonna play.....would really like to play the game with someone first time....im not a complete nub im a decent CS player...not sure how much different this will be....any takers on helping the BF nub?

 

way different than CS.. you're gonna love driving tanks and flying apache's
make sure you get the Desert combat mod!!!! or no apache's for you!

I just love bf1942 + all the mods esp DC. I tried Halo and shelved it. I really have developed a dislike for these "you must find the secret, correct pathway" shooters. Running around (usually hallways) without a clue as to how to get where you are supposed to go/do what you are supposed to do and finding it through dumb luck or cheats is a PITA.
Beyond knowing what CTF means, in bf1942x all you do is grab a map, weapon, vehicle and go. I wish there were more games like this.

B1942 v1.6 should get rid of the hack/cheaters/tkers. It's gonna have a voting system and a dealie that stops hacks/cheats.
