Hello...I have problems...lol dont we all

    I'm Aaron and my computer at startup shows a winlogon error. Can someone please assist me with this? :confused

    First I'd try booting to safe mode and see if that works....then if so, create a new user and see if you can boot to that ....

    I'm able to log on. After awhile the BSOD displays
    STOP:C000021a [Fatal System Error] The windows Logon Process system process terminated unexpectedly
    The system has been shutdown

    Often a hardware problem ...like bad ram.....how long does it take and is this in safe mode?

    After a normal (not safe mode) boot I get the winlogon error. I chose not to send a report and then after quite sometime the BSOD will show up.

    No I could not reproduce the error in safe mode.

    In normal mode, try going to start / run / type "sfc /scannow" without quotes (note the space) and have your xp cd handy.

    Let me know if that helps. Otherwise, we will need to remove the log in process for now.
