    Been on majorgeeks for a while now, but never found the time to register.

    Ok, having had a look around the forums, I noticed that the posts go in descending order.

    Now, on most forums I've been on, you have the first post at the top, then all the others below this.

    If you want change it too this, do the following:

    ACP > Forums & Moderators > Forum Manager > Edit Forum (Do this for all forums) > Default Sort Field (Set to 'Last Post Time') > Default Sort Order (Set to 'Descending').

    Some users like it that way NEW > OLD so they have the choice, to change this, its in User CP > Edit Options and under Thread Display Mode you change to Linear > Oldest First > Save.

    Best to not have a global change via AdminCP to do this, as per user settings can be used, depends on what the member decides is their favoured view option, we decided not to inforce how threads are viewed.

    But cheers for the post and option, as some members dont know that how a thread is viewed can be changed.

    Yes, that's how I view it.

    Personally, I think it would be better to have it as the default.

    But, as you say, they can change it in the UCP.
