    Hey everybody,

    found my way here because I'm having a decidedly difficult experience with my desktop PC. I can't follow through the malware removal guide because part of the issue is the inability to run any programs on it at all, despite it booting up fine.

    Hope my thread in the malware forum shows up soon, I really need the help!

    Greetings, Skrattybones, and welcome to MajorGeeks.

    In addition to your Malware Forum thread (I see that Kes has taken your case - you're in good hands), do you have your Windows 7 disk? Running the SFC routine is fruitless without a reference - you might try inserting the Win 7 disk, then re-running the SFC.
