    :cry
I picked up one of those annoying virus, this one didn't have a name... things began to pop up on my screen... I immediately punched off my internet connection and started MalWare Bytes AntiMalware... I ran a scan... it found 2 items, Rogue something... deleted them... and now I cannot get back on the internet explorer... I have checked the wireless and my connectivity to it is fine... when the page opens to cannot connect, I have even tried typing in other sites, like Microsoft.com, Yahoo.com, etc. and it still will not connect...
I have check my firewall and MSE and even added www.msn.com to the excluded lists and it still will not connect to IE.
    :cry
    WTF...

    Hello,
You should post over in the Malware Removal Forum. That being said, the virus might have screw around with your proxy setting in Internet Explorer.

Open IE and select Tools>Options. Click on the Connections tab and then click on LAN settings at the bottom. Then see if "proxy server" is checked. If so clear it out and uncheck. If that does not help, re-post in the Malware Removal Forum. You should go there anyway to make sure you are clean and not still infected.

Try installing a different Browsers and see if that works. Also you mite try doing the following:
Start > Run > enter CMD > then in the cmd window enter ping www.yahoo.com.
    If you get Packets: Sent = 4, Received = 4, Lost = 0 (0% loss)
    then it your Browsers.
If you don't get this msg then it's your network.

Hey Rosss and tgel... I appreciate the info... I ran malwarebytes and it found a rogue ????, a hijacker and said it cleaned it and all worked ok for 1/2 and hour, then suddenly there it was again...
I probably will just go thru the malware removal section step by step...
Question... I know you don't know what this is for sure... but could someone be f'n with me... I've been getting hit by virus's over and over for the past couple of weeks and I haven't changed anything with the way I visit the internet, or the sites... and until today... MSE seemed to block anything and everything and then suddenly twice now it appears to have been 'blocked or shut off'... and I had to restart...

    Two things...
1st I think Avast is better than MSE.
2nd I just started using Web Of Trust app. (http://www.mywot.com/en/download). and it seams to work good so far.
