Help and Support Not Working

In Windows XP, When I click Start-"Help and Support" and then when I go to Accessories-System Tools-"System Information", neither of them work. I had this problem once before and can't remember the fix. I usually save any answers to any problems that I have. I may have found it in a magazine. Anyway, I would appreciate it if someone would help me. I believe that the fix said that this happens after a virus or spy scan is run. Thanks in advance for your help.
