We have a desktop pc running Windows Vista. I guess you could say it "crashed". When we try to start it, it goes through the flash screen for the motherboard, and then a blue screen flashes quickly, then it comes to the screen that says, "Safe Mode, Start Windows Normally, etc..." If you choose one of these, it simply starts back over and ends up back on this same screen again. It will not start in Safe Mode! Wasn't sure if it is hardware related or malware related. Does anyone have any ideas about how we can troubleshoot this? We tried going into the BIOS and loading System Defaults, but no change in response by the pc. How can I check for malware? Also, this is a brand new system. It has been running fine for about 3 weeks. Any suggestions? :cryThanks, Shanrene P.S. we tried to change boot order and boot from Windows Vista CD, but no go either. Thanks in advance!

This may or may not be a malware issue, but you need to be able to get it to a stable state before we can check for malware.....so I am moving this to software. If you still need malware assistance, you can start a new thread. :)
