I got a new pc. Today I started noticing a box, very much like a command prompt box, that flashes on the screen just a moment as the system is completing the boot up. It is so fast that I can't read the contents. Is there a place where these messages are retained so I can find out what it says? Or, a way I can stop the bootup process before that moment and slowly step forward until the message is displayed?

Nothing seems to be a problem or working incorrectly but I sure would like to see what that black box is saying.

    Thank

Thanks DomLuc. It's a Dell and I sorta think it is a item they loaded (Dell DataSafe) but I can't be sure. I didn't see anything in the event viewer that gives me any concerns. I'll check out adrynalyne's guide.
