Help Big Time!!

k i have two drives ...one is 40 gig (master)and the other is 120 gig (slave) ...and i just reformated the 40 gig ....and now the 120 gig is like saying it is 32 gig now and it is gay cuz i lost all my stuff on it!!!!!!!! i had like games , pic. of family and friends and clip of them too .....i lost everythin ...sum1 plz.... let help me and by the way the 120 gig is a Maxtor harddrive too ....plz ..i'm about to die ..sum1 help me

 

Try this Start by going to administration in the control panel pick disk management and see if the rest of you harddrive is there and the os just does not see it if that does not work post back and we will try again.

 

another suggestion would be to boot to your windows disk and PRETEND like your going to set-up windows and go through the steps to the point where you select a partition to install windows... at this point it will tell you how big the BIOS see's the Hard drive as and what part of the hard drive is partitioned and what part is unpartitioned ect. ect. write down what it says there and post... DO NOT FOLLOW THROUGH WITH INSTALATION... nothing should get deleted by the stage where it tells you about the drives stuff gets formatted AFTER that and AFTER it asks you if you want to go through with it Just EXIT OUT once you get to the screen about partitions... if anything comes up about formating or something than exit out but you can get as far as the screen I just mentioned without formating anything...

I say this because it sounds like something may have happened where only 32 GB of your HDD have a file format or something (no idea how that would have happened.. but hey.. might as well see what the computer is seein)
