Help burning DVD

I can't seem to get a DVD onto a disk from my computer. I can play it on the computer, so I know the files are good. When I tried to put the folder onto a disk, I used BurnAware Free and DVD Flick. None of the burned disks play in my DVD player on my TV. The whole DVD file is on my computer... IFO, BUP, VOB files, etc; everything is there, but I can't get anything to burn and play. Any ideas?
