Help buying a new video card

alright well i think its time for me to buy a new video card.. i want something better then the one i have now because iv had this one for almost a year now and it was $225 then.. i look at all the prices now and im just like wow.. my pc specs are in my sig so you guys can see.. i just want one thats better then the one that i have now.. i use the eVGA GeForce 6800 PCI Express 256MB DDR.. and i have $150 to spend.. maybe a lil bit more if you think its worth it.. thanks!

 

7600GT or if you want to spen a little more, a 7900gt. Actually, now that i think about it, Maximum PC just recently did a review on the best video card for the price range and the x1800 GTO was the best (although a little more money) for the Sub-$200 category

 

x1800gto can be unlocked as well, depending on the brand, and you will get the full 16 pixel pipelines (compared to the standard 12) which will then make it like the x1800xt (about $100 more):

Search this site and you will find the info on this mod. Beware though you will void any and all warranties if you do it (worth it imho as have never had to return a video card).

 

ahh.. iv never been a fan of ATI cards though

 

yea me neither....but it is in fact the better card. A 7600GT would do great also tho if you wanna stick with nvidia

oh.. well its better then the current card i have now right? and ill have no problems putting it in correct? like no upgrades to any other parts.. should i wait for a lil bit of time for something? maybe christmas? or what
