I'm looking to buy a new pc and wanted some opinions on what would be a good option for me. I'm looking for something with a very fast processor and a very good graphics card. I need something fast that will be able to run two webcams at the same time without any hiccups. Money is not an option here I'm looking for something that is the top of the line, the best that is out there. It has to be a desktop though. Thanks for the help in advance

If you want the top of the line, then you'll pretty much have to build it yourself.

You should be able to find everything you need HERE

    Hope this helps!

ooooooooo! muahahaha oh boy am I gonna have fun with this one... I love helping people build PCs that I can only DREAM of being able to afford...

ok well to start it off, i have a few questions:
    1) do you want to build it yourself or buy prebuilt?
    2) XP or Vista
    3) what all are you using it for? (besides running webcams) gaming? video encoding? animation?
    4) do you have a monitor that you will be using or are you going to buy a new one?

    brief overview here:

depending on XP or vista; 4 gigs of ram in Vista or 3 in XP (4 is useless, it will only use about 3 anyways) DDR3 if you want the very latest and greatest

    QX6700 processor (quad core extreme)

8800Ultra SLI (you'd be fine with a single but you can go SLI if you want to i guess lol)

The hard drives will vary depending on how much space you want. you can get a 74gig raptor for the OS and a 750gig for everything else, or you can go the RAID route with like 2 500gigs in RAID 0

Pick the case out that you want, Antec and Coolermaster make AWESOME cases so check those out.

Depending on your video card setup, you may or may not need a crazy powerful PSU, but with a single 8800Ultra i wouldnt really go less than 700W

the motherboard also depends on if you want to go SLI or not, and also if you want DDR2 or DDR3.

if you have any more questions or want links to these parts just let me know

Thank you for your enthusiasm and prompt reply. Right now I would like to build my own because I think in doing so I would learn some new things about computers in the process. I'm looking for something built around Vista Home Premium. I will be using it for web camming, gaming, video editing, surfing the web etc.. basically I want to build something that is fast enough to handle just about anything. As for a monitor I will be buying a new one, the monitor doesn't have to be too fancy would just like a good flat screen lcd. This is the first pc I will be building so I don't know a whole lot about it, I'm a newb when it comes to hardware but I do know that compatibility issues come into play so I would like a good motherboard that is fairly universal when it comes to adding the other components. What do you suggest for a mobo?
