Problem: When I am on my Username, the computer randomly restarts itself. When it restarts and I get back into my username, a popup comes up that states "The system has recovered from a serious error." When I click for the technical information, the following comes up:

    Error Signature-------
    BCCode: d1 BCP1: BF97C9EF BCP2: 000000FF BCP3: 00000000
    BCP4: BF97C9EF OSVer: 5_1_2600 SP: 1_0 Product: 256_1

The following files will be included in this error report:
    C:\WINDOWS\Minidump\Mini051004-01.dmp
    C:\DOCUME~1\Michael\LOCALS~1\Temp\WER1.tmp.dir00\sysdata.xml

It does this random restarting on 3 of my 4 Usernames. This Username is working fine thus far. I don't know much about the technical aspects of computers and how it all works. If anymore information is needed, let me know and I'll try to find out. However, I've had the computer for around a year to year and half, and the fact that it only restarts on certain Usernames implies to me that something is wrong with the programming on those Usernames. So, if anyone can tell me step-by-step how to solve this problem, I would greatly appreciate it...

i know there is a virus out there that keeps rebooting your machine but i dont know much about the whole username thing. it may be just a coincidence.

My guess is that it is a virus. is your antivirus up to date?

Yeah, my Norton Antivirus is fully updated as of today (the 11th), and when I scanned my computer, no viruses were found.

    Found something...

Okay, I think I may have found the problem. I used an online virus scanner, and it found that a Trojan Stilen.A is on my computer. But I don't know the proper steps to remove it. So, if anyone has a free program to remove this Trojan Stilen.A, it would be helpful. Or, perhaps if you tell me step-by-step how to remove it without messing up my computer, that would be helpful too. Also, I have already tried using Norton, Ad-aware 6, Spybot - Search & Destroy, and the online virus scanner (the online virus scanner said the Trojan Stilen.A was "non-cleanable"). If someone could answer me ASAP, that would be helpful because later today I'm supposed to be recording some songs, and that'll be kind of hard to do when my computer is restarting all the time. Thank you very much to who ever responds!

Didn't find much on that trojan, what scanner said you have it?

Ad-aware and Spybot S&D are free tools that will remove many trojans (and most spyware), info and links here:

Make sure you update them both before you scan, clean whatever they find.

If they don't get the job done then this is an excellent anti-trojan scanner, not quite free but the 1st 30 days are:

It also needs to have the latest definitions updated from here:
