I want to connect new win XP professional PC on LAN network with Domain , but I can see the network from new PC. I have internet connection and I can reach server and other PC by its IP but I cant see them. I have the right DNS IP . I created user name and password on the server , and when I want to add it on domain , said Domain is not reachable. I connected as a member of workgroup, (still cant see the network, I’m able to reach them only by IP), but I cant add the local printer. Should rebooting the server help?
Any idea what’s wrong and how to fix it?
    Thanks a lot

If you can only "see" them via IP, then I would suspect that you have a name resolution problem. A bit more info and someone may be able to help you.
    DHCP?
    Is the DNS server local?
Is the DNS server defined on the "new" pc local, or ISP DNS?
    Are you using WINS?
Are they on the same subnet?
What gateways do you have defined?
