Help!! Change modem from tiscalli to karoo

Hi all,
i have just purchased a thomson router off ebay but it is set up as tiscalli with their logo on the setup screen

is there a way to access my current internet provider which is karoo internet

maybe a firmware change or access its settings

Are you trying to reset your router. so it connects to your isp and says the isp name in your configuration.
I think it will do that automatically once you set the router up to your system.
log into your router and go to setup. begin entering your isp configurations or there should be a tab that says configure automatically. Once that is done it should say Kargoo as your ips.

Some services use the data of the Modem/Router as form of authentication. I.e. changing the Router is like changing your own the Password and ID.

You have to call the service and find out how it is done with their system.

 

i have reset the the modem but the setting are still showing service provider as tiscali and the thomson login screen has the tiscali logo
so this modem must only be for tiscali service or is there a way of changing this.. maybe firmware change or something

 

Whats the model number of your router, I want to look it up.

Have you contacted their tech support, or read the faq page to see if there is any info on this.

Last 2 suggestions i have then I'm going to steop asside for someone else.

can you go to Thompson's site and as you said before re install the firmware for this model.

when you do a reset the router is supposed to go back to factory specs. I think you have to press and hold the reset button for 30 seconds. to erase all the preset information.
