    Hi all,

I just went to copy all my fonts to a backup folder but accidentally moved them instead.

I've put them back in the right place but in the meantime Windows (XP) obviously substituted the missing system font with something that looks like wingdings.

As a result all my folder and browser windows (and who knows what else) all display alien symbols instead of the English text I've grown rather fond of.

Any ideas how to change the main system font back (and what the default font is for XP?)

I've tried accessing it through the 'display' control panel but it requires one-by-one selection of each item, and most of them won't allow a font change anyway so it must be somewhere else...

    :cry

You know, I felt sure that rebooting wasn't going to fix this, but...

I guess Windows tries to find it's preferred font during startup.

    Have you tried?
