Ive been having a frustrating problem with a useless program that came bundled with my PC called Dell Media Direct.
A Dell Media Direct Window pops up on my desktop everytime my computer is rebooted or wakes from a sleep mode.

I tried to find the program in my PC with no luck. Then I was told it is on a hidden 2.5GB Dell Media partition. I found the Dell Media Direct partition and formatted it.
After doing this the once hidden sector now appears in My Computer as
a 2.5 GB partition. It is now labeled as 'Empty Disk F' with 2.42GB free of 2.49GB.

When I try to explore the disks contents it says empty.

What do you think might have happened??????

I greatly would appreciate any help in solving this strange problem

    Jim

Well that small partition is probably empty. You formatted over the top of what ever was there. (I remember from my old Dell Dell had it for maintainence reasons) Probably better to delete to partion altogether and then extend your main partion to take up that otherwise wasted/unused space.

Have you looked in control panel to add/remove programs to find that Dell program?
