I'm about ready to pull my hair out! I have went to a site and downloaded a program and I can't get it to install. I have d/l iso files and sfx files and nothing seems to work. I have burned the sfx file to cd and I can't get it to load either. I have never had such a difficult time with a download. Installation instructions say I have to have files d/l to hard drive and then set up from the cd. While this all makes sense in theory I can't copy the files from the cd to the hard drive. I gave up trying to d/l files on my puter....too slow and went to another puter and d/l and copied files to disk and tried to install on my puter and here I am. Any help will be appreciated.

Is this download legal, and what is the program?

The program is adobe cs and yes it's legal, but it is OEM program so no cd's. I thought I'd save by ordering this way but it seems I'm not as puter savvy as I thought. Didn't realize that by d/l self extracting files to my mom's puter would basically make it impossible for me to open the program on my computer. Now I basically have a cd that has a program on it that I don't know how to copy to my puter so I can open it. I tried opening from the cd but you have to have the files on the hard drive first. So basically I'm stumped. So do you have any ideas?

    Thanks,
    Patty:confused:

I asked if it was legal because not many legit companies supply ISO images, it's mainly used to transfer pirated programs.

Anyway, an ISO is an image of a CD's contents.

You need to burn the ISO onto CD, and it will work like a typical CD.

Don't burn it as an ISO file (data file), you must burn as an image.

Just about any burning program can handle this, however, we have CDBurnerXP which is freeware.

My memory is a bit sketch, but in CDBurnerXP, go to File,

then Choose Write Disc from ISO file, then browse to where you have the ISO image, then Write Disc.

If for some reason this isn't suitable, post back as there are a myriad of ways to do this.
